Thomas J. Johnson

BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Johnson has practiced law for more than 35 years. Initially, he served one year as a Law Research Assistant for the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Department. He began his litigation experience as an associate attorney at a large multi-practice law firm in New York City, where he practiced for five years. Since moving to the Capital Region in 1983, Mr. Johnson has tried more than 100 cases to verdict. He represents insureds in negligence cases as well as insurance companies in first-party litigation in coverage disputes, arson defense and subrogation claims.

Mr. Johnson had been a partner for many years in the firm of Allen, Johnson & Lonergan, LLP, before joining John Bailey in 2007. As such, he is keenly aware of the concerns of clients and the need to afford them excellent representation. He has tried cases to completion in both New York State and United States District Courts. As a trial attorney he has developed a deep respect for the wisdom of juries and their ability to comprehend most liability issues.
